Thursday, January 21, 2010 there were a total of 10 people who went to sunset to eat the extremely spicy buffalo wings. we called in two cabs and gj plus zk's friend took the motorcycle. i was with zk and 2 other peeps whom i do not know that well. however, at least zk will talk to me so it wasn't that bad. on my part, i felt that once again i missed the opportunity to take the initiative to start a conversation with pple that i am not familiar with. the ride there was quite awkward, two guys beside me were playing monopoly on the iphone and i was kinda invisible there. this feeling became abit nostalgic and for some reason it brought back a little of my days in poly. we were the first to arrive, gj revealed that it wasn't much of a surprise cuz he heard of that place. went in to sit first and we took a peek at the hall of fame. with that in mind, we ordered a plate of lvl 30 wings and lvl 10 wings. 30 is obviously for gj alone and the rest for us. at the table, by the twist of fate i got cornered by pple i do not know that well. when joyce and gang came in, i shot joyce a look to save me but i dun think she caught it. ah well, it's not as though she could do anything. took gj awhile to realised that i felt a little uncomfortable but yea, i was glad that he saved me from that predicament. his friends were really nice and they know my name so i was partially impressed, as in i was never good at remembering names so for someone to remember my name it seems to be a big feat. moving on to the highlight of the day, somehow the restaurant served the spicy buffalo wings really fast and neglected our main courses. since it was there for awhile already, we asked gj to test out the spicyness first. he dipped his finger into the sauce and put it in his mouth. instantaneously, his face turned red and started sweating profusely. he challenged us to try it too but zk issued a challenge to the girls. if all of them were brave enough to try, we'll all do it. that's how we ended up having hell on our tongue for the first time. when the first piece of chicken went into my mouth, in my mind i tell myself that i want to fnish it asap so i stuffed it in piece after piece. however, rate of input does not match with the amount of time i had to chew and swallow. as the chicken lingered in my mouth, i was scared so i dun even want to chew it properly before swallowing it, thats when the beer and milk comes in. by 10 seconds or so, hell demons on my tongue started sawing and my throat was choked up with lava. all i could think of was chafting ice into my mouth so i can feel abit better. this sensation lasted for approximately 10 mins. so there, after going thru all that, i decided to stay away from spicy food for awhile. as i quote from what zk said, i didn't know that food can be that hot! the bill amounted to be almost $300 and gj footed the bill. it was an interesting experience with a costly price tag. since im uploading videos, might as well include some from previous outings. but first, here's the waxing. now for the kbox with joyce and gj singing "wei le ni er huo" Jesus is Love |
