yesterday i went home after a long week of studying. went to my parents room to talk to them and nua abit. we were talking bout holiday plans and mum dun really wanna go on july cuz the weather's too hot. anyway, since i had to be in church at 830am, decided to turn in early. i tossed alot on my bed and couldn't get to sleep so i decided to talk to God abit.
there were alot of things on my mind, i read the bible abit, the book call ecclesiates. its about this King of Israel that had what ever riches in the world and the wisdom that no one in the world will ever have. in short, he's successful but felt that everything was meaningless. the conclusion of the chapter was to find joy in the things that u do and fear God. joy however is not a feeling, it is a gift from God. its just like studying. for me, i dun really like studying as u can tell, since im blogging eventho my exams tmr and im not even half done. it is the assurance knowing that God is there with me and He'll be happy when He sees that im putting in effort for Him.
then, i wanted to sleep after reading but God woke me up again. i talked to him abit more about things in school, about certain people. Keith was the first person that came to my mind, he was my first close friend, he showed me how to trust i guess. then it was reina, there were things left unsaid. qingnan was next, i smsed him awhile and prayed for him. i know that God is in control so i decided to God do the job.
as i ponder about building friendship with people, perhaps cj was right all along. distance might not be an issue, but just be there when i need u. i am still not sure about that but every one has their own life. i never been so sticky with friends, perhaps cuz i am used to seeing them alot. suddenly thought of all the old times when we slacked together during the holidays. suddenly felt really loved by family and friends around me. i guess i am blessed in a way. alot of people say u either have good family or good friends but i have both. apart from that, i have an eternal God who will never leave me. so, i rejoice to be alive.
Blessed are those who dwell in Your house
They are ever praising You
Blessed are those whose strength is in You
Whose hearts are set on our God
We will go from strength to strength
Until we see You face to face
Hear our prayer
Oh Lord, God almighty
Come bless our land
As we seek YouWorship You
