i was watching this show again in hall after mid autumn festival in the lounge with my hall cell group. once again, the movie proved to be very powerful. eventhough it's not a true story, it displays alot of truths and i guessed i got quite inspired after that.
one of the key things i got from there was from this guy who prayed as he walked past the lockers every day for several years. eventhough nothing happened, he continued to persevere and pray for a revival in the school. there was this once that the coach came and commented that God doesn't seem to be doing anything. his reply was simple. 2 farmers asked God for rain and only one went to the field to prepare for harvest. who do u think has more faith? the answer is obvious, however, which one of the farmers do u think u are?
that kinda struck me. everytime when we ask God for things, do u really believe that He answered or must He do it before we can actually believe Him? the bible says that how great is he who do not see and believe. the whole basis of christianity is on faith. can we see God or touch God? we obviously can't but how do we know He is real? only when we believe, then He will slowly reveal Himself to us. this is the nature of God, so how much do we actually believe in Him?
next, God will definitely bless us if we choose to follow Him and obey Him. nothing is impossible for Him. with Him, we are victors. coach asked one of the leader of the rugby team to carry a 50kg guy and do a death crawl for 30 yards, he did 50 yards blindfolded and he did that with a 60kg guy. when we fixed our eyes on God and follow only his lead, we will move much further than what we thought was possible. it will be tough but He is there to guide us through.
as i think through and reflect on this two points, i realised that i there is alot more about God that i do not know. i feel that i am ready to take a deeper step of faith into a relationship with Him. there is a portion of my life that i want to hold back because i wanna earn big bucks and life a wealthy lifestyle but God is challenging me to give it up and follow Him. earlier on in church camp, i was once again affirmed by God that i am special in His eyes and He wants to use me to do great things, far beyond what i can imagine. for such an ordinary person like me with no spectacular achievements in life thus far, he gave me faith that is rather big. i dare to do crazy stuff for God in school when God moves occasionally. there are some issues that held me back to be a super warrior for God. i feel super inadequate to be a cellgroup leader sometimes. i feel that i am weak and worthless to be a leader of a christian group. i am ashame of certain things but hey, God choses to place Jesus in the hands of a carpenter and had the birth of Jesus, his own son at a really crispy place.
God will use anyone if he/she is willing. ahh, God is dang good to me, and i LOVE MY JESUS DEEP DEEP!!
