have been really busy with preparing for node profficiency test which happens to be on the last week of march. our first outfield exercise started two weeks ago and thus i haven't been able to have nights out or NIB cuz either im in some freaking forest or out to send rations for my fellow friends or doing duty to cover up for the lack of manpower. so instead of having like one duty, i had 3. things didn't turn out the way i planned. i thought of doing more so when i'm about to ORD in august, i can don't do duty at all because i have accumulated enough points. then when i used that as an excuse for wanting to not do so many duties this month, my CSM sinply rebuked me and claimed that it doesn't count that way because i don't do guard duty. oh well, i guessed army is screwed up afterall..

haven't been updating my blog because i was way too busy slacking outside and hardly home to blog or stone or whatever u can think of to do at home. spent alot of time with my family which i think was essential and in fact, we went to monty's bar for dinner last night. it was pretty amusing how people looked at us cuz firstly, the place is mainly for people who are slightly older than us to socialise and drink. i suppose we went there for a different reason.

secondly, we didn't didn't dress like those people who intended to go clubbing at clarke MOS. we weren't that shabby looking but still, it was different.

i wonder y is it so difficult for someone that is different to fit in into society. god didn't create us to be the same so y are we denying ourselves if we were in the first place created to be special. how many of us bother to make friends with people who are for example handicapped. we are drawn to people who are popular, handsome/pretty, rich, powerful. y?? even when we are evangelising, people tend to judge and choose who to share the gospel with. the fact is this, everyone needs to hear the gospel irregardless of whether they are rich or poor, handsome or ugly, the key word is ALL.

during our tm quadrathalon, i was quite disappointed with some of the timmies who forgot the purpose of an outreach and cared only for themselves. they failed to look out for new comers instead, they went to look for their own group of friends and some even when to pull their friends to join them eventho their friends might be in the midst of sharing a testimony or gospel. they didn't practise hospitality if not they would have gave up their tm bottles for new comers who didn't get it until quite some time. since this event is organised solely for new comers, shouldn't they be our priority?

good job for people who placed their focus on the right things. people who looked out for opportunites to share and to just spend time with new comers even if they just met for the first time. people who willingly forfeit the competition just to spend time with new friends. there were a group of people at the end point cheering for participants who were near the end point. i noticed some marshallers encouraging participants along the way too. this is what an outreach is all about, the focus and how we should behave, making people feel welcome, feel noticed and accepted. simple act like saying hello and remembering their names can make a whole lot of difference for someone who entered a place full of strangers.

anyway, after the outreach, went for dinner with the usual crowd. went to clement's house to stayover, along with jem surprisingly. bryan was suppose to join us but his parents didn't allow so he pang seyed us. i realised that its been quite awhile since i last used that word on him but the feeling is quite nice. hah bryan u sucked.. pang sey pang sey pang sey!!!

we played lan till 12am, could had went on playing till at least 2am but clem's parents called so ya. played some funny number game with blocks and somehow, unexpectedly, i lost cuz of bad deck. i don't think its so much on strategy tho. so much for mindless games. we slept at 1am cuz of service the next day. how cool!!
