Saturday, January 27, 2007 i finally cleared all my physical fitness tests, namely the ippt and soc. for ignorant people out there, ippt is something like napfa test, minus the sit and reach and soc stands for standard obstacle course. for ippt, i barely made it for Gold and as for soc, i thought i would fail. the day i took soc, it rained so everything was like wet and slippery. in addition to that, the last time i did soc was like a year ago so i was kinda unprepared. anyway, i cleared 3 stations twice cuz the first attempted i screwed up. the 3 stations were low wall, low rope and the swinging bridge. the low wall used to be my pride. i could easily flipped over but this time round. by the time i ran to that station, i was quite out of breath already plus i accidentally stepped onto some mud so i didn't have a firm grip. low rope was dumb too cuz i forgot how to hook the rope. finally, the swinging bridge.. i was so shagged that i couldn't run straight and with all the swinging, i banged into the pole just before the end of the obstacle and i was like balancing on my stomach on the pole. luckily everyone was too shagged to realise that it was me. finally, when i cleared all the stations and about to walk, my new pc suddenly ran beside me and paced me. it was a good thing because if not for him, i would be very tempted to walk through the last stretch of road till the end pt. so eh.. managed to pass it with a timing of 8.04, with some minor injuries and a swollen foot. -______- yesterday went to serangoon gardens to eat, then i decided to go sean's house after dinner to collect some cds. the only bus we could take was i think 25 and we had to walk some distance to get to the bus stop. the thing was this, i thought he knew the way and he thought he knew the way. we ended up walking to a dead end and from there, we made a detour to some back alley whereby we have to walk on the drain. some spastic dogs jumped up and barked at us and before we knew it, we reached the end of the alley and had to walk all the way straight to the mainroad. so, so much for walking to the bus stop cuz one more stop and i'll be home. it was a good experience tho, to see another side of singapore.. quoted from my dear friend who brought me in to this mess. we took approximately about half an hour to reach our destination. oh ya, btw. do u think -_- is cuter or -_____________-.. to prevent spamming, the first one is option a and the other is b. pls tag. thanks..
