FR left for pilot yesterday. guess it'll be better for him that way, like duh. it's weird to see the bed beside me empty now, all the nice conversations we had, going to camp, going home together, staying over at his place to play game, i guess this is it..

been reading a book call 5 people u meet in heaven. its about this guy, eddie who works at a theme park as a mechanics. he sacrifice his life to save this young girl. after he died, he went to heaven. it was a whole new journey. he got a new body, one that has no defects (apart from his face, thinks he look as ugly). so right now in heaven, he has to meet 5 people. from each people, he will learn something about his life that he never knew. this is so call to make sense out of his life. anyhow, the lesson learnt were these

1) looking at life from different perspective. something that u do, might end up hurting the others unknowingly. thus, u should always be sure of the whole picture before coming to a conclusion.

2) love is all about sacrifice. without losing something, its hard to gain something as well. this can be illustrated in terms of friendship. person A loves his friends, willing to do anything that is withinin his limits for his friends. he goes all out to care for them and put them before himself. person B however, wants to have really good friend but scared to get hurt. thus, he is wary of people, finds it hard to trust them fully. thought about his own welfare before others.

so among this 2, who will u befriend? who will u want to get close with? its a two way thingy but someone has to initiate first. the more u give, the more u will receive.

3) forgiveness. eddie had been hurt badly by his dad. even when his dad passed away, the only thing he did was just to be at the hospital looking at his dad. he couldn't forgive his dad because he thought his dad got drunk and got himself into trouble. what happened was this. dad's closest friend got drunk because he lost his job. went to look for eddie's mum to confide in her. he lost his control and almost going to rape her. when dad comes home and saw his buddy hugging the wife, got upset and beat him up. they fought beside the sea which was just outside the house or something. the waves were huge and as both of them went deeper and deeper int othe sea, dad realised that his buddy gonna die by the wave that is coming and thus shielded him from the wae. that's how he got sick and infected with pnuemonia. from that, he died. eddie blamed him for being so irresponsible, leaving his mum there alone who got into some mental problem after his dad left her. eddie had no choice but to give up his job and work at the place where his dad used to work so that he can look after his mum. that's how he ended up at a place with low salary and ya, from then on, he had no future.

4) eddie met his wife who died early. she was the only female he ever loved and even after she left, he loved her deeply. lesson learnt. love the people around u, not thinking about how they can hurt u, when they going to leave u, but rather whatr u have before u. life can be lost but love never. even when ur love ones depart, they leave behind memories. lost love is love too. whenever u think about them, u still feel good, no doubt that u feel sad, but at least u know that one day, u will be able to see them, a place call heaven. your love ones who don't have the passes to heaven, make sure they have it before they leave u. pray and look out for opportunities to share to them. this is our top priority, our misson!

5) weird enough, i cannot recall the last lesson. he met some asian girl whom he never knew existed. it was during war time, when he was a soldier as a POW, an escapee who was about to leave the site which was under artillery fire. he was with 3 other comrades, they were angry at those people who tortured them so after killing all 4 of the enemies, they took their fire power at the ammo point which happens to be vacant, and fire at the buildings. on the way out, eddie saw a silhouette somewhere amongst the fire that was set ablazed by them. he called out, wanted to go back and rescue that person. everyone else thought he was dreaming because they couldn't see. even if he were to go back for that person, they would all die because reinforcements from the enemies were approaching.

back in heaven, the girl turned back into her burnt state. passed a sponge to eddie and asked him to clean it off for her. imagine the whole scenario. u burnt a small girl alive and now in heaven, she's asking u to clean it off her. this is super freaky and depressing. eddie felt like a murderer, ashamed. they had a small talk and then he asked about the girl he was trying to save before he died. he wanted to know whether he managed to save her becuase all that he felt before dying was a pair of small hands.

the girl's reply was that yes, he managed to save her. eddiw was puzzled becuase it is not possible to save her since he felt her hands but didn't managed to pull/push her away. the the girl replied. the hands that he felt was hers. when he died, she pulled her up to heaven. that happens after eddie pushed her away.

oh ya, conclusion was that everyone has a story to tell, but somehow, one story links to another and in the end, it all comes together as one story and the story in itself, unfolds yet another mystery. heh. talking bout profanity! simple yet erm.. DEEP!!

back in camp, we had internet connection lectures that involves all the 10001001010101010001010 codings. had to know what is IP address, how to subnet it and stuff like that. the SAF employed a very powerful speaker who managed to get the entire cohort of 200 to sleep after 5 mins of teaching. fro the whole week, i get an average of 3 hrs of sleep from lectures alone everyday. now i', starting to worry because all these willl be tested and i know absolutely nothing about this module. heh.
