just got shot by dave because of what he said about piracy and lanning. actually to me, its more towards piracy cuz before dave shared bout this, i wanted to invite ivan to watch some dvds at home. quite sian to watch movie alone eh. anyway, i was quite burdened by this whole thing and dun feel like doing anything else after that apart from going home to rest. as for lanning, he mentioned about not how long i play which i don't think i exceeded considering the fact that i book out like once every 8-9 days on average. moreover, i only play on sundays if there's really nowhere to go or nothing to do. more like a last resort kinda thing. aunt sharon was telling me bout that too, she would rather we go to her house for a stayover which we will consider doing that soon before the 16th of dec, which marks the end of my holiday. certain schools failed to understand the meaning of this word that is known to every kid in school. for the ignorant, here's the defination:
A day free from work that one may spend at leisure, especially a day on which custom or the law dictates a halting of general business activity to commemorate or celebrate a particular event.
students should really remind their teachers or principals the meaning of it and remember to emphasize on the words 'free' and 'leisure'. come on, its december holidays! kids are not suppose to go back to school for whichever reason. we should REST!!
leaders' retreat was quite fun. we had like beachvolleyball, fishing with the badminton net and ian invented a new game call buaya ball (named by amy). let me touch on the game rules of buaya ball. it involves like 6-7 girls and 1 guy only. basically, its like touch rugby, or somewhere along that line. anyway, i was playing volleyball so i really dun know the game that well.
after that, we took a train followed by a bus to play paintball at a country club. eliel and elisha joined us. im glad they did, 5 a team is just nice (as so says eliel). without them, there won't be equal teams so people, do give them a round of applause when u see eliel. elisha will probably still be in thailand socialising with the girls there to uphold the name of the scouts so i reckoned that he won't have time to appreciate ur encouragement. the toilets at the paintball area were like super faraway. i was really tempted to pee by the bushes, something that army had taught me during my BMT.
out of 4 games, my team lost 3. it was quite disappointing and being competitive by nature, i felt kinda shitty after that. it took me like one bus ride to cool down. bathe in church without a towel, had to use tissue paper to wipe off the water. it was quite a unique experience. went downstairs to wait for dinner to start and as i was chatting with people, realised that amy (teo) actually brought 3 towels of different sizes, in which she could like lend me one. shucks!!
watched movie until 12 plus and went to sleep after that. stacked up 5 mattresses and use my bag as a pillow. had quite a good slp but when i woke up, still felt rather stony. having oatsmeal wasn't really my cup of tea so i had biscuits instead. thankfully lunch was early so i didn't starve for long. the food wasn't that great but at least it filled my stomach.
had 2 hrs break after that before tm. played some retarded game until prayer time for leaders. the games were extremely retarded but i felt as though i went back to secondary school. i thought that the sermon was rather draggy but i really enjoyed fellowshipping with people around me and yes, i must say that the worship team did a fabulous job today. they had like 3 worship leaders on stage and 6 singers. big scale, great music. quite wasted that the crowd today was rather pathetic. holiday seasons....
one thing i like bout church -- hugs. extremely random but hey, its my blog!! be it receiving or giving, it feels wonderful and special. 80% or more of the leaders' love language is physical touch so ya, if u all wanna encourage us, hugs are a good way of showing ur concern. btw, church does not encourage boy-girl hugs so be wary of that. other than that, do not restrain from doing it. its a healthy form of expression.
