Monday, July 04, 2005 i've just received an invitation from my friend, asking me to attend her birthday party at east coast park. its really weird cuz i dunno her that well to start with. i do have a small crush on her when i was in sec 3 and flirted with her for awhile but it didn't even lasted for like a month. really surprised that she still remembers me even after so long. i think i changed my hanfphone several times but dunno how she got hold of my current number. anyhow, i'm still agonising of whether i should go or not. among my peers, im the only one invited. she didn't even invite Ying ying who was her band senior for 2 years. anyhow, maybe i should regard this party as an opportunity to share the gospel but me alone facing dozens of pple i dunno in a party might just be too much for me to handle. i do admit that im sociable and all but that is when there's at least like one or two pple i know. in an environment whereby i dunno anyone, i think i will probably sit one corner and stone. if that's the case, i should just stay at home. the camping thingy with my cg was cancelled. we couldn't find any non christians to go so ya, as promised, we called off the outreach, and replaced it with an outing today at seoul gardens. the student price was like $8.90 but with the tax and drinks and all that crap, it amounted to $14+. think sakae offers a better deal, maybe that's where we'll go during our nxt cg outing. half of the cg was absent but we went on with our plans anyway. it was easier to share and crap i reckoned. all of them studied for 2 hrs before going for lunch at seoul garden. there were alot of distractions but at least something was done. sarah did more than 10 qns of A maths, gloria did half of the sji maths paper, nicholas finished one compo and daniel, half of compre. whee!! we went arcade for half an hour after that because that lady failed to ask us to book a reservation and i can't believe that she actually push the blame to me for her own incompetency. the arcade was freaking noisy. had 2 free games with nicholas which lasted less than 10 secs. it was fun.. cheap thrill. heh. lunch was rather entertaining. we tried several methods to cook without getting scalded by the oil that danced on the hot plate or tray or whatever u call that. each time the oil comes into contact with our hands, we jerked. the reaction was comical. we practically laughed our way through the lunch hours that is from 1.30 to 4pm. we ate more than 8 plates of meat, 2 plates of fruits, 2 plates of finger food and a bowl of ice cream each. after which, we were bloated. daniel had training after that, nicholas had to meet his mum, sarah has to study for her tests tml and gloria decided to go home. thus, i met james amiel bryan jeremy and ivan at chinese garden. we didn't spent time with nature, but with the water theme park nearby. amiel had problem getting on the float. each attempt cuz the whole float to overturn. it was erm... expected?? lol oh ya, amiel wore the same shirt as me. at first it looked cool, but as i walked pass the mirror, i realised how gay we looked. bleah. but then again, gossips exist. i shouldn't care so much about passing remarks from pple, especially strangers. its not pleasant but we can't stop pple from talking, can we? overall, i really enjoyed myself. felt so relax at the lazy pool. could go like 5 more rounds or even more if not for the time. u know all these outings really make me realised how certain pple make a difference by just being there. beginning to enjoy the presense of my friends rather than indulging in it. i dunno how else to describe it but ya. just thanking God for them.
