Saturday, May 07, 2005 friday was the day that i regained my freedom once again. it was my so call first day at work but at the end of the day, i quit. believe me, it took me quite awhile to come to this conclusion. 1) the day before i started work, God showed me Isiah 52 which talks about breaking free and God redeeming His people. 2) during work, i can't convince myself to earn that $2 from people who are compassionate to help others, knowing that a large amount of it will be contributed to the company, not the needys. 3) this job is not something that i would enjoy and eventhough its a temporary one and that this street begging is only for two weeks, i can't picture myself doing it for another hour! i felt terrible having to talk to my trainer about my resignation. he put in alot of effort to train us and teach us. he placed high hopes on me. i sort of hinted him at around 3pm and he told me to stay until 5.30 before making the decision. time literally crawled past me. without a second thought, i told him that i'm sticking with my decision. that marks the end of my one day career, earning $0 because i had to buy 1 tickets for myself, just to hit the quota of 5. i called joel immediately after i left the place (yew tee mrt). he INVITED me to his place like the day before but i had to reject it due to the fact that i got to work on sat. anyhow, we went for prayer and praise. i prefer sitting on the carpet-ed floor, behind the rows of chairs. it allows me to move around and sit in whichever way i like. Worshipping God that day felt really good and refreshing. its been awhile since i can be so focus in God and thanking him so deeply. i felt as though i was being lifted up, at times i could even picture myself among the clouds. i felt FREEEEEEEeee!! P and P ended around 10 plus. i took a cab with ivan edmund and joel. the cab took forever to come. after around like 15 mins of waiting, we decided to go up the hill to flag a cab instead. on the way, we saw a cab driving into the condo which means that the cab will be vacant by the time it comes out. we waited again for 5 mins and came up with this conclusion. singapore taxi drivers are getting richer and thus they can afford to stay in condos. we continued walking up the slope and then we saw the taxi coming out of the condo. Joel freaked out thinking that we might lose yet another cab in sight. he ran frantically towards the cab, waving and shouting. it was ludicrous. the staying over was cool. we played cards and crap throughout the night. actually we slpt around like 2 plus. dunno what happened that day, none of us had a decent sleep except for joel i think. he was like dreaming of something and did something indecent with the guy beside him. *grin* will update the rest of it later..
